Our 5th graders under the direction of Mrs. Banville, our library teacher assistant, are creating 3-D snowflakes for the Ronald McDonald House in Providence, Rhode Island. They are hoping these snowflakes will bring some smiles to this holiday season!

DIMES FOR DEEDS
During this holiday season, we would like to involve our students here at Quinn in a special activity. It is time to think of others less fortunate than ourselves. This activity is called “Dimes for Deeds”.
We would like our students to do extra chores around the house. The children could also help grandparents, aunts, uncles or any other family friends. As the children complete these chores, you would place come coins in a special envelope that is marked “Dimes for Deeds”. The more chores your child does, the more money he/she will raise.
All of the money we raise will be used to purchase gifts for local families. It is our hope that you and your child will talk about the spirit of giving and how important it is to think of others at this time of year.
In the past, we have had children who also wanted to donate their dessert money for several days as another way of helping. The most important thing here is for the children to be actively involved in the giving and doing; not just asking you for money.
“Dimes for Deeds” will run from November 18th through December 4th. We ask that your child return their money (if possible, please change coins to bills) on Wednesday, December 4th.
Thank you so much for your time and help. May your holiday season be a joyous one, filled with family, friends and fun.
